About Scott P. Rosenberg, AIA

SCOTT PHILIP ROSENBERG, AIA, NCARB
Architect / President      scott@r-ai.com

Scott P. Rosenberg, AIA, strives to take this architecture and design practice to new levels by looking at design from the perspective of the developer's mind. Rosenberg was formally trained as an architect, then spent time working in house at a real estate management company and a real estate investment trust.  He furthered complimented his architecture education by pursuing a graduate degree in real estate development, to bring the whole picture of his client's real estate investment, management and development goals into his design perspective.  In 1996, Maleady Rosenberg, P.C. was formed.  In 2002, he bought out his partner and the firm's name was changed to Rosenberg A+I, P.C.

Mr. Rosenberg's expertise includes a practical approach to design with construction costs and financial return in mind.  His recent tasks include tenant and capital improvements, design, construction administration, adaptive reuse projects, commercial office, industrial, retail and multi-family projects, restaurant design, coordination with owners, engineers, leasing and construction professionals, zoning and feasibility, code analysis and even proforma analysis.
Before starting the firm, Rosenberg was Vice President with CSN Management, the then property management arm of Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, in Kensington, MD,.  He also served as Tenant Coordinator for First Washington Management in Chevy Chase, MD.  Prior to that, he worked as a Project Architect for Donnally Donnaly Soe Lin in Bethesda, MD.

Rosenberg received a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) from the University of Florida in 1985, a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland in 1988, and a Master of Science in Real Estate (Development) from Johns Hopkins University in 1997.  In Summer 2005, he began as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins, teaching the "Building and Site Design" class in the M.S. Real Estate Program.  Rosenberg is a registered Architect in MD, DC, VA, NJ, DE, PA, FL and AZ.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
